ono architecture was founded in 2007 and is led by Gert Somers, Jonas Lindekens, and Sara Verleye in a diverse team of about ten architects.
The work ranges from scenographies, interior projects, and residential buildings to larger-scale housing assignments, public buildings, complex projects involving reuse, and protected heritage. ono architecture is involved in various collaborations for new urban building blocks. The architecture is generous to the city, the village, and the landscape. Not infrequently, the design focus shifts to specifically shaping and giving meaning to tectonics today. A profound knowledge of making leads to an understandable way of building.
The projects have been widely published, multiple times awarded, and presented in lectures and exhibitions throughout Europe. The architectural practice was selected for conferences with essays on reuse, transformation of structures, interior design, and protected heritage. The partners have experience teaching at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and TU Delft and have been invited to various juries.
